I recently had a situation happen with Fred Olsen Cruise lines concerning a sailing on the Braemar.
We originally had some passengers booked onto a back to back sailing on the Braemar before it was announced that Fred Olsen were going to charter the ship out for use of the Olympic Games and they were going to reschedule their July and August 2012 sailings with the ship being available to resume standard planned sailings on 7th September.

Mr Pickles is getting back on track
At home I have a pet cat named Mr. Pickles. He is a pedigree Siamese cat who has previously lived with my mum and sister but about a year and a half ago me and Krissy took him in.Unfortunately about 2 weeks ago he seemed to rapidly become ill, he just slept all of the time, wouldn't eat or drink and was generally quite despondent.
We took him to the vets and it turns out that he had feline pancreatitis.

He really was getting in a quite a bad way and things weren't looking good for him at all, we were told that he must start eating again by any means necessary. I tried all sorts of foods, chicken breast, tinned tuna and even a fresh cod from the local chippy but nothing would entice him to eat. We had to force feel him with a seringe for two nights on the trot which wasn't fun at all.
I even had to work from home the other Saturday as the vet said he needed watching constantly in case he took a turn for the worse.
Fortunately just at the "make or break" stage we managed to get him to eat a little bit of chicken, he didn't eat alot but it was progress and fortunately he has picked up from then and is now stuffing his face as usual.

Argentina turns two cruise ships away as Falklands row worsens
After recent news coverage about the fact that the Argentinians are still on edge about the Falkland Islands affair it seems that yet another story has emerged today about this subject and this time it's cruise related.
It has been reported that the P&O Adonia and the Star Princess have both been turned away from the Argentine port of Ushuiai. A spokeswoman for P&O cruises said that the official reason for being denied permission to dock is that the Adonia was "due to the ship having been in the Falkland Islands on Saturday".
The foreign office is said to be "very concerned" about the fact the ships were denied to dock.
It seems like there are so many tensions and conflicts going on in the world today, it's a shame that political matters like this have to effect innocent holiday makers.
